Chapter One- which kitten?
When you are getting a kitten, whether from a friend or a petshop, you should make sure that the kitten is the right one for you.
Make sure that the kitten will be happy in your home- do you have any pets that might frighten the cat? Do you live near a busy road? Do you know enough about cats? Can you afford it?
Make sure that you have all the equipment you need.
Can you afford it if the cat needs to go to the vets?
If you want a particular colour of cat, it may take some time to find find one, so try not to be too choosey.
Will your kitten be an indoor or outdoor cat?
